The Dallas Hackers Association (DHA) was founded on the concepts of “give more than you take” and “be excellent to each other.” This formal Code of Conduct expands upon those mantras.
DHA strives to be both a safe space and an uncomfortable place. We welcome all, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or how they think. We also welcome challenging others’ thoughts and ideas, even if that causes discomfort, but only when done respectfully and with the intention of learning from others. If you are asked to stop, then stop. Any further engagement will be considered harassment and subject to sanctions up to and including permanent expulsion.
Any form of sexual harassment will not be tolerated.
If you see or hear something at DHA that runs contrary to this Code of Conduct then please bring that concern to an organizer. We will also provide anonymous means for reporting issues.
If you experience harassment by a member outside of DHA then please also bring that to the attention of an organizer.
Our goal is to make this event as inclusive and enjoyable to as many as possible and we will do everything we can to make it so.
